It always surprises me the number of Indiana teachers that are still not familiar with the organization, Indiana Computer Educators (ICE).

ICE is a non-profit professional group whose mission is assisting educators to enhance learning through the use of technology. It has been in existence helping educators for 28 years. One very unique thing about ICE is that it is run entirely by volunteers who are committed to helping other educators. Since technology changes so quickly, ICE is where teachers can get the up to date information about what is new and how it impacts the classroom.
Today, ICE has more than 2,500 members who are K-12 educators, administrators, or higher education professionals. The ICE conference is Indiana's premier educational technology conference for K-12 teachers, administrators, and school technology leaders and is the fifth largest conference of its kind in the nation. The conference has grown in attendance from 16 people at the first conference in 1980, to nearly 1500 people at the ICE 2007 conference including participants and exhibitors.
The annual conference offers concurrent sessions, workshops, vendor area, a Success Showcase that features student projects, and lots of networking between attendees.
ICE is one of approximately 50 Organizational Affiliates of The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). Besides the conference, ICE shares technology news through our online membership newsletter, our Indiana Computer Educators (ICE) website and our member listserv.
If you have never attended an ICE conference or if it has been a few years since your last attendance, I would encourage to visit our website to find out about next years conference held on January 27-29 in Indianapolis and register to come to it. You won’t be sorry.
See you there!
