Tech Word:
USB
This acronym stands for Universal Serial Bus, a standard type of connection used in today's laptops and other devices. Back in the late 1990's USB was introduced, and soon after, a popular storage device, the USB stick or "thumb drive" (about the size of a thumb) was launched. Now USB interfaces have become faster and the storage devices smaller (some about the size of a thumbnail) and in all sorts of shapes and colors. Most peripherals (printers, scanners, hard drives and digital cameras and even some cell phones) offer a way to connect to computers through a USB connection.
