Flurry of Winter Words

How many winter words can you and your family identify? Sit down together with your family and brainstorm as many winter words as you can, writing them on a piece of paper. They can be weather related, objects, activities, etc. Once you have your flurry of words, try to make some order out of them by placing them in a word processing document, typing them in alphabetical order. How many words did you identify? What letter in the alphabet starts the most winter words? What letter or letters of the alphabet start no words in your list? Can you now think of any for those missing starter sounds? Are you all excited for a new season to begin? Discuss what you are most looking forward to about the forthcoming winter season.
