Tree-riffic Presentation

As Autumn is here we can now enjoy the splendor of fall color and changing leaves. Take a leisurely stroll with your family through a favorite park and take a mental picture of your favorite colorful tree. Why is it your favorite? What colors are the leaves? Are they all the same color or many different colors? To celebrate this beauty and the change that takes place, make a PowerPoint presentation that displays the glorious leaf lifecycle of a tree. Begin by creating some drawings in a paint program. Start by drawing a bare tree that would be seen in the Winter- just the trunk and branches. Save this drawing as “tree”. To create a tree for Spring, add some small green and yellowish green leaves with the paint brush and even the spray can tool. Save As: “Spring Tree”. Open the file “tree” again and now begin adding larger green leaves to show what a Summer tree would look like. Would you still see a lot of the tree branches and tree trunk? Save As: “Summer Tree”. Last, but not least, open the file “tree” again and add lots of gorgeous fall colors: red, yellow, orange, brown, green, etc. Be sure to use different tools again to create a layered look. Finally, Save As: “Fall Tree”. Once your four drawings are complete you are ready to place them into a PowerPoint presentation. Begin your presentation with a title page that includes a creative title and your name. On your next slide, put the title: Winter and insert your “tree” drawing. Do the same for Spring, Summer, and finally Fall. To jazz up your presentation, you can add a “dissolve” transition in-between slides so that when you change from slide to slide the tree appears to change before your eyes. Save your presentation and show off your fancy fall artwork to your friends and family all year long.
