Family fun and learning are promoted through take-home, theme-focused backpacks. Ideas for materials and activities which can be included in these great backpacks are provided.

    Have some family fun! Sit down and dig in to as few or many book and activities as you choose. After you’ve had your fun, please complete the backpack evaluation form.
    Family Fun Ideas
    • Go outside and see if you can observe butterflies in your neighborhood.
    • Make butterfly cookies with the cookie cutter. Be creative when you decorate them!
    Grow a Butterfly Garden Book Activities

      Draw a picture of a butterfly garden.
    • Language Activity
      Make a list of the “plant foods” you ate for supper.
    • Hands-on Activity
      Ask your family which flowers you have in your yard. Are there some that the butterflies like?
